Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa shortlisted for Food Award

The Lawns restaurant at Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa in Thornton Hough, Wirral, is celebrating after being shortlisted in the Food Awards England 2016.

Thousands of nominations for the Food Awards England came in from across the country with the public voting for their favourites to reward the best in the food industry.

The winners will be revealed at a glitzy awards ceremony at The Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Monday 24th October. The glamorous event aims to honour and show appreciation to venues that serve the best dishes and help showcase new flavours and different cultural tastes.

Now in their second year, the awards celebrate and reward the very best in England’s food sector. Based on a public vote, the awards commend the talented individuals and businesses who are dedicated to constantly delivering high-quality dishes, produce and supplies to ensure impeccable service to their customers.

Geoff Dale, General Manager at Thornton Hall Hotel, is thrilled that The Lawns restaurant has been shortlisted for an award. He said:

“We are extremely proud to have been highlighted by the Food Awards England. The news comes just weeks after The Lawns was entered into the Michelin Guide for the fifth consecutive year.

“We have a hugely talented team at The Lawns, led by executive chef Andy Richards and head chef Ben Mounsey, and this is testament to their continued hard work and dedication.”

The Lawns restaurant, which also boasts 3 AA Rosettes, is renowned for having an impressive tasting menu (from £80 per person) and a delightful gourmet menu (from £60 per person). The Lawns also offers a spectacular la carte menu and a delectable SundayLunch (£25 per person).
