It what has been described as a “significant coup”, Tony Reed has returned to Keppie Massie almost a decade after he left the Liverpool firm.

Tony, a commercial surveyor, is one of the best-known figures in the city’s commercial property market. He left Keppie Massie to run the commercial function at Bruntwood & Bruntwood SciTech.

He later became an associate commercial director at the Manchester family firm which has significant assets in Liverpool’s commercial district including the Cotton Exchange and The Plaza.

Most recently, he served as an associate director at Avison Young, managing UK-wide portfolios for major private investors and regional public sector agencies.

He returns to Keppie Massie as a director for the business which provides a range of development consultancy expertise to local authorities and developers on large-scale regeneration projects across the UK.

It also provides commercial agency services across Liverpool city region. Tony will work alongside both divisions to deliver projects on behalf of existing clients and develop new relationships.

In his new role he will bridge Keppie Massie’s core divisions – combining his extensive client-side experience to deliver large-scale regeneration projects for local authorities and provide a “new focus” on the firm’s commercial services.

Tony is a former long-term board member and chair of the property group at Professional Liverpool and he has joined Liverpool Office Agents Forum (LOAF) alongside Keppie Massie commercial director Tim Garnett.

“Coming back to Keppie Massie feels very much like I’m returning home. It’s great to be back in a dynamic, independent environment where we can pivot quickly, respond to clients’ needs and actively pursue new opportunities quickly,” said Tony.

“Having spent almost a decade client-side, I have a deeper understanding of what gives developers and owners confidence, especially navigating the unique challenges the commercial market has faced recently.”
