With Breakfast month well underway, three of the city’s favourite haunts are celebrating with special offers, designed to ensure Liverpool’s commuters are well-fuelled for the day ahead.
Breakfast is widely regarded as the most important meal of the day, and city centre establishments The Brink, Delifonseca and Euro Hostel are marking Breakfast Month in their own inimitable style:
The Brink
Liverpool’s award-winning café bar, restaurant and live music venue The Brink is serving up an innovative breakfast menu.
The Parr Street venue has devised an offering ideal for early risers and late bloomers alike, compromising a range of traditional breakfast choices such as Full English Breakfast, Full Veggie Breakfast and BLT Breakfast.
For the health conscious diner, a ‘Healthy Brinks’ menu is also available including the Instant Energizer (freshly squeezed orange, ginger, carrot), the Zinger Apple Smoothie (apple, lemon and ginger) and the aptly named Morning Glory (low fat yoghurt, low fat milk and mango), each boasting a number of notable health benefits.
General Manager of The Brink Carl Bell said:
“Our breakfast menu features a number of conventional selections together with a range of detoxing energy drinks guaranteed to shake up your wake up. For the late bloomers among us, breakfast is also served all day.
“Here at The Brink, we value both natural and nutritional ingredients to create healthy and delicious servings. Our ‘Healthy Brinks’ combine a unique medley of fresh fruit and vegetables – not only do they act as a nourishing cleanser by eliminating old toxins and promoting cell renewal, they also taste delicious.”

Delifonseca
Delifonseca Dockside is marking Breakfast Month by celebrating with the humble duck egg.
The eatery will be serving up its usual range of delicious breakfast offerings featuring the very best meat from local, free range, British, native and rare breed livestock courtesy of Callum Edge and his team. For the rest of the month, customers will also be able to upgrade their hen eggs to local duck eggs instead.
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said:
“Not only is the produce on our breakfasts all great tasting, it’s local as well. The bacon and sausages that Edge & Sons Butchers supply are made with Gloucester Old Spot pork from Nigel Jones in the University of Liverpool’s animal husbandry farm in Wirral. We thought it was a fitting addition to offer local duck eggs as a luxury twist during Breakfast Month. Customers will be able to order them poached, fried or scrambled either on their own or as part of a cooked breakfast.
“In addition, the chefs have come up with a special bubble and squeak topped with a fried duck egg. The perfect way to start the day!”

Euro Hostel
The Hatch Bar located in the heart of Liverpool’s historic music hub boasts an on-the-go breakfast menu for both hostel-stayers and the general public alike.
The bar and eatery, which resides in Euro Hostel located on Matthew Street, will be celebrating Breakfast Month with the aptly named Euro Hostel Breakfast.
Those after a belly-bursting buffet can combine options including a bacon bap, sausage bap, beans, muffins, croissants or toast. Lighter options include porridge, creamy yoghurt, Kellogg’s cereals and fresh fruit. Breakfast options can be washed down with an orange or apple juice, spring water, cola or lemonade or a ‘proper’ hot drink.
General Manager Emma Wright said
“Many of our guests are seeking an on-the-go style breakfast to set them up for a day of sightseeing or work-related endeavours. For that reason we introduced a pick-and-mix style breakfast whereby diners can choose exactly what they crave. The ‘fill your boots’ breakfast option is also being rolled out across all Euro Hostel venues.
“We think simplicity works a treat so The Hatch Bar combines a range of classic savoury favourites with some sweet and lighter options, meaning there is something for everyone to enjoy this Breakfast Month!”
All items cost £1 or diners can combine five items for £4.50.
