Two new restaurants open at Liverpool ONE

Two new restaurants have opened at Liverpool ONE – one in Paradise Street and the other at the terrace in Chavasse Park. Tony McDonough reports

The Real Greek has opened in Paradise Street in Liverpool ONE

 

Liverpool ONE has welcomed the opening of two new restaurants.

Greek dining concept, The Real Greek, has opened in Paradise Street while The Botanist will welcome diners to its Chavasse Park terrace location.

The Real Greek’s 3,900 sq ft restaurant caters to 162 diners inside and 38 outside.The space has been fitted out in The Real Greek’s signature style, with blue and white accents throughout and a range of Mediterranean-inspired art and photography. 

It serves cold and hot meze, Souvlaki wraps and Greek salads, as well as sweet Greek treats such as Baklava.

Sandro Spahiu, managing director of The Real Greek, said: “Located in the heart of bustling Liverpool ONE, this new restaurant is our first launch of 2024.

“The demand for Greek cuisine has been strong in the UK, and we’re delighted to bring a taste of our authentic food to the people of Liverpool.”

The Botanist joins Loretta’s Parkside Tavern and the soon to open Flight Club. The 6,400 sq ft restaurant offers lighter dishes such as salads and noodles and classic bar meals of steaks, fish & chips, and burgers. There will also be cocktails and live music.

Rob Deacon, director of asset management at Liverpool ONE operator Grosvenor, added: “Liverpool ONE continues to be the destination of choice for popular and established UK brands to launch in the city.

“The Real Greek and The Botanist each offer something a little different, and that’s reflective of our strategy to ensure a diverse range of food, entertainment and leisure opportunities at the destination.”

This announcement follows the news that Liverpool ONE has seen its strongest start to a year in more than half a decade, with a 9% increase in visitor numbers during the first three weeks of January 2024 versus 2023.
