Ed Blaney brings his David Bowie tribute band Ultimate Bowie to the Epstein Theatre on Saturday May 20.
Ultimate Bowie is a two-hour show of David Bowie classics, from Space Oddity to Lets Dance and David’s latest hit, Blackstar.
David Bowie frequently reinvented his music and image, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential innovators of his generation.
He sold an estimated 196 million albums throughout his career, coming to the attention of the world in the autumn of 1969, with Space Oddity.
After a three-year period of experimentation he re-emerged in 1972 as flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust, spearheaded by the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: “David Bowie was a true artist. His music touched generations of people across the globe. Ultimate Bowie is an exhilarating live show and a fitting tribute to a remarkable man.”
