Serviced apartments developer Epic Apart Hotel is close to completion on a £1m expansion of its Duke Street property in Liverpool city centre.
The refurbished Victorian building, which originally comprised 17 apartments, has increased in size by 7,000 sq ft, giving Epic’s third property in the city seven additional apartments.
This will raise the overall capacity from 34 apartments to 41 to accommodate around 250 people a night. It originally opened in March 2015 following an £850,000 investment.

Following planning approval earlier this year, Liverpool-based Abbey Plastering & Services were assigned to work on the site.
The new apartments were opened in May with the final work on the new ground level office space set to be completed by the end of September.
It will also house the company’s new head office and the extra capacity means eight jobs have been created.
Launched in 2012 by husband and wife team Simon and Fiona Beer Epic also has serviced apartments in Seel Street and Campbell Street in the city centre.
Managing director Simon Beer said: “We are always looking for ways to expand the Epic experience, and with the company’s incredible and rapid success over recent years, the time felt right for this next stage of growth.
“The team has worked exceptionally hard to ensure every single guest is greeted with the warm welcome they deserve and would expect from a world-class city such as Liverpool.
“This property has been incredibly popular with our guests so far, from both the UK and abroad, and we think they will love it even more following the expansion.”
