Liverpool livestreaming and virtual events company Virtuopo, launched during the COVID lockdown, is to relocate and expand with a new live broadcast studio. Tony McDonough reports
Virtuopo is to relocate its livestreaming and virtual events venture from Liverpool Innovation Park to Brunswick Business Park in a new expansion.
Following the move it will create a new live broadcast studio. Designed for livestreaming, virtual conferences and online business events, the studio will feature green screen technology, broadcast quality lighting, a fixed gallery and remote production facilities.
The firm will use the studio to create live content and stream events for its growing portfolio of clients. They range from global brands and top law firms to Premier League football clubs.
Fully soundproofed, the studio will also be available for corporate use with competitive rates for creative agencies, social media influencers and retailers operating in the livestream shopping space.
Managing director, Chris Holmes, who started Virtuopo during lockdown at Liverpool Innovation Park, said: “Event technology has progressed enormously in recent years with the pandemic rapidly accelerating growth in the sector.
“It’s vital for us to stay ahead of the curve. Opening a dedicated virtual event and live broadcast studio is the next logical step for Virtuopo as we look to further expand the business and grow our client roster.
“Our new location at Brunswick allows us the space to create a connected studio that can be used for virtual conferences and events of any size, from board meetings and company town halls to large-scale global conferences.
“We’re incredibly excited about building a studio on-site, which will be available to hire with or without a crew and can be set up either as a standard studio or with a full virtual reality backdrop.”
Virtuopo also plans to offer remote production facilities, which will enable off-site directors to connect to the studio in real time to produce a virtual event or live broadcast from literally anywhere in the world.
“This will provide a useful feature for clients too, allowing them to check in on the studio remotely in order to work with the team without the cost and time commitment of travelling,” added Chris.

“As the demand for virtual events, professional livestreaming and remote production continues to rise, we’re confident a dedicated virtual event and live broadcast studio for corporate use, will be a welcome addition.”
Prior to launching Virtuopo, Chris co-founded Liverpool-based video production company, Zut, where he was Head of Live Content for over 10 years.
Virtuopo’s new virtual event and live broadcast studio is set to open late summer. The space will be primarily used for virtual events and livestreaming. It will also be available for filming TV commercials, music videos, video production, podcasts and photoshoots.
