Liverpool hairdressing chain Voodou has scooped a number of awards over the years and now another of its talented stylists has won national recognition.

Wez Parry grabbed top spot in the ‘Female Fashion Look – Cut and Finish’ category in the National Hairdressing Federation’s national floor competition, Britain’s Best.

Competing against stylists from across the country, Wez had to create a look while being judged by an expert panel.

With a record number of entries across the nine categories, this year’s Britain’s Best was bigger and better than ever, making the Voodou Stylists win even more impressive.

NHF president Agnes Leonard said: “This year did not disappoint – the level of talent from across the UK hotly contesting the top spot was outstanding, so Wez should be proud of this huge achievement.”

Voodou managing director Rob Webb, who opened his first salon in Anfield 40 years ago, added “We are delighted for Wez that he has picked up this award – a just reflection of his talent and hard work. Once again we are proving that stylists from Liverpool are among the best in the country.”
