Window and door manufacturer Warwick North West is celebrating a successful end to its financial year and a soaring start to the calendar year.

Bootle-based Warwick North West, which employs more than 120 people close to Liverpool docks, said in the first three months of 2026, which is also the final quarter of its financial year, sales surged by almost 23%.

This takes total sales for the 12 months to March 31, 2026, to £12.06m, up from 11.78m in the previous year. This rise in sales has been driven by increased demand from housing associations.

It vindicates Warwick’s strategy, revealed in LBN in 2024, of targeting the affordable and social housing sector which has been given new impetus by the Government’s target of building 1.5m new homes by the end of the current parliament.

Warwick managing director Phil McDonald told LBN: “It is critical as a manufacturer to always have a forward sales strategy. We work in a competitive market and its important to stay ahead of the game.

“In 2024 we were aware that the social housing sector was keen to address the UK’s housing crisis and build a new generation of affordable homes with a strong emphasis on quality and sustainability.

“That has been to our advantage. We produce windows and doors with very high levels of thermal efficiency, exceeding current Government recommendations. That is attractive to housebuilders looking to meet net zero targets.”

To support this strategy Warwick invested more than £1m in new machinery to increase both efficiency and production capacity. It also saw a management shake-up as part of an overall refresh.

This saw owner Greg Johnson move from managing director to chief executive. Phil, who began his career on the shop floor of the company in 1999, became the new managing director.

As one of the best-known window and door manufacturers in the North West supply chain Warwick has established strong partnerships with both housing providers and building contractors.

One of those relationships is with Liverpool family building firm Frank Rogers which has been delivering projects for a number of housing providers including Plus Dane, Peaks & Plains, Riverside (Wates) and Forr Housing.

Warwick is also a key supplier of windows and doors to social housing provider Sovini and is one of its primary partners in the delivery of its housing projects. Sovini is so pleased with the completion rate so far it publicly commented on the “dedication and hard work” of the Warwick team.

Phil added: “Sales volumes have been strong. In January, February and March this year we made 23% more window frames than in the same quarter in the previous year. That shows the importance of the investment into extra capacity.”
