Transformational mind coach Alison Blackler has spoken of her delight after winning a major business award

Alison, from Bebington in Wirral, spent almost 25 years working in the NHS before launching her 2minds venture more than a decade ago. Since then she has worked with both individuals and businesses, with corporate clients including retail giant Sainsbury’s.

Now also a published author and radio host, Alison’s achievements were recognised at the Crème de la Crème Cheshire Business Awards where she won the Outstanding Self Development & Business Growth 2023 accolade.

These awards recognise and spotlight small businesses across Cheshire.  Alison said she was delighted just to be nominated for the award and was “blown away” when her name was read out as the winner.

It was incredible and a huge boost,” said Alison. “This award is a recognition of decades of the personal growth and business development I have done.

“My younger self was not very confident and this affirms that hard work and effort really do pay off. If I had listened to my self-doubt and my doubters, I would not have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and left the NHS 13 years ago to set up 2minds.

“I didn’t see myself in a positive light and could never have dreamed of such an award.  This is a recognition of my dedication to my personal development and journey, and I am really proud.

“My business is all about people finding their truth and following their own path and anyone working with me embarks on this journey for themselves.”

Alison explained how 2minds had evolved over the past few years. At the start her work was mainly one-to-one sessions with individuals. Now she increasingly works with leaders and executive teams in business as well as in prisons and schools.

She added: “I have published two books and host a podcast called Mental Wealth. I can also be found on stage inspiring people, and these are all things that I used to only dream of.

“This growth has enabled me to take the big step of adding a second person to the 2minds team. George Collings has now worked alongside me for two years.

“With him, we have been able to take some bigger steps in new and exciting things, such as a gorgeous, personally branded product range with affirmations and messages on them, plus hosting my own podcast.

“This award is for everyone who has worked with me and through my business 2minds.  Everyone who has pushed themselves and made courageous changes.

“My mission is to disrupt and encourage others to not accept less and be their true self. This is an accolade to keep going which is a strong message particularly in today’s world of uncertainty.

“Congratulations to all the other winners and finalists.  What an incredible evening with so much to celebrate. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and The Cheshire Club for creating the awards. I am delighted to receive this special recognition.”
