A four-bedroom detached house on River Grove in New Ferry is described as “an ideal refurbishment project” ideal for owner occupation, onward sale or investment, guided at £135,000 to £145,000.

A three-storey property in Claughton Village with planning consent for two houses comprises a convenience store producing £20,000 a year and two vacant upper floors. Each is suitable for conversion to residential and is guided at £170,000 to £190,000.

Also under the hammer is land at Parkgate, guided at £150,000 to £175,000. And a vacant former bar and club in New Ferry, set in a residential cul-de-sac, would be ideal for community and leisure use.

Chris Johnson, auctioneer at Smith and Sons, said: “This is a particularly strong auction that will appeal to investors, builders and developers. All of the lots offer considerable scope and potential and we expect to see high levels of interest across the board.

“Viewings are underway and anyone wishing to view should get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.”
