Elite athletes including last years runner up Sophie Coldwell and under 23 world champion Matt Sharp will look to score valuable points in the second of the three races in the British Triathlon Championships. Age group competitors will tackle the Standard Olympic distance of 1.5km swim, 40k bike and 10k run, Sprint distance enmtrants will complete a 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run whilst record numbers of beginners will swim 400m, bike 10km and run 2.5km to the spectacular waterfront finish.

Famous faces to watch out for on the day include BBC Breakfast Presenter Louise Minchin (who recently qualified in her age group to joins team GB at the world championships in Chicago this September). Hollyoaks stars Karl Collins (Louis Loveday) and Nicole Barber Lane (Myra McQueen) will race along side former Big Brother winner Craig Phillips.
Standard distance competitors set off in waves from 7am, sprint distance from 10:30am, and beginners from 11am. Elite males will complete the sprint distance setting off at 1pm with Elite females on the start line at 2:30pm.
