Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership has completed work on a remodelling of part of the £5m Mere Lane health centre to accommodate the Great Homer Street Practice.
LSHP Ltd, a public private partnership which developed the Mere Lane centre has worked with the Great Homer Street (GHS) practice to remodel the building’s first floor dental suite into a fully operational GP facility with consulting, treatment and administration rooms.
The work involved a six week project to transform the existing dental rooms into rooms suitable for a busy GP practice. The work was executed in a fully operational building without interruption or nuisance to the other building occupants.
Michael Webb, general manager of LSHP, said:
“Since we started LSHP a little over ten years ago we have managed more than £120 million of investment and developed 15 new health facilities in Liverpool and Sefton. Our work with GHS to make the additional alterations at Mere Lane is part of our commitment to continue to upgrade health facilities in Merseyside and ensure local communities have access to first class healthcare.
“The remodelling work means that the Great Homer Street Practice can now relocate their practice to the centre which further establishes Mere Lane as a health hub for the Everton community.”
