Developer Elliot Group has started work on a £100m residential scheme close to Liverpool’s new £450m Royal Hospital.
Known as ‘Aura’, the scheme will offer 142 one and two-bedroom homes and more than 1,000 student living units. The homes will be be aimed at key workers such as hospital staff as well as the wider market.

Located on the former Erskine Industrial Estate, Aura is designed by architects at Falconer Chester Hall and will include yoga studios, a residents’ gym, a bar and study zones and is being built by Forrest Construction.
It will rise to 14 storeys at its highest point and comprises two buildings tied together by comprehensive public realm incorporating mature planting. Elliot Lawless of Elliot Group said: “We expect our residents to be very discerning and we’ve put a great deal of focus on issues such as public realm and materials.
“This is a gateway development for the city’s Knowledge Quarter and we’re conscious of needing to set the bar high.”
Work is expected to be completed by August 2020.
