Home2Office Water Coolers are encouraging their customers to get involved with World Water Day, this Sunday.
Sports personalities and local SMEs have been showing their support by holding up an ‘I Support World Water Day’ sign; with their photographs being uploaded on the Knowsley business’ social media platforms, ahead of the March 22 celebrations.
In line with this year’s ‘Water and Sustainable Development’ theme, the objective behind the social media campaign is to illustrate the importance of safe, fresh water to coincide with World Water Day’s efforts to help those suffering from water related issues.
Steve Wrest Managing Director of Home2Office Water Coolers said:
“Water is essential to our health. We can survive for weeks without food, but only a matter of days without water.
“As a provider of water coolers and bottled water, it felt only right for both us and our customers to get involved in celebrating World Water Day. From legendary rugby players to web designers, it’s great that so many of our clients have taken the time to get involved, in the hopes of raising awareness of the celebratory global water event.
“By participating people are actively helping to secure a better future for marginalised people across the globe, which are in need of a safe and permanent water supply.”
World Water Day was established in 1993 by the United Nations General Assembly with the purpose of aiding deprived countries with water related issues. As the annual theme differs, this year is about highlighting how water links to all areas are needed to ensure future stability.
Steve added:
“With World Water Day taking place this Sunday, we wanted to make people think about their easy access to water and not take it for granted, as so many people across the world don’t have this luxury.
“We hope that the increased awareness of World Water Day will help to create a better and sustainable future for those living in drought affected and poverty stricken countries.”
Home2Office is one of the North West’s largest independent water cooler companies that specialise in the supply of plumbed-in/mains fed water coolers and natural bottled mineral water.
