Video: New drone footage shows progress on Liverpool’s £1bn Paddington Village

Liverpool City has released new drone footage showing the latest progress on its £1bn Paddington Village project.

Paddington Village forms the central part of the £2bn Knowledge Quarter scheme, encompassing existing facilities such as the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Sensor City and Liverpool Science Park.

A number of projects are already under way in Paddington Village which will comprise 1.8m sq ft of space. They include:

  • The £35m Novotel 160-bedroom hotel and 60-bedroom aparthotel located opposite the new Royal Hospital.
  • A new northern headquarters in for the Royal College of Physicians, known as ‘The Spine’. Costing £35m and comprising 160,000 sq ft, it promises to be one of the healthiest workplaces in the UK.
  • An £20m advanced medical diagnostics centre being built by Rutherford Diagnostics.
  • Liverpool International College’s ‘Live and Learn’ facility.
