150 new jobs at National Trust Liverpool call centre

Call centre specialist Foundever opens customer service facility in Liverpool for the National Trust, creating almost 150 new jobs. Tony McDonough reports

A new customer service centre for the National Trust (NT) has opened in Liverpool city centre, creating almost 150 new jobs.

Contact centre specialist Foundever has created the new facility at Horton House in Exchange Flags on behalf of the National Trust which manages historic buildings and green spaces across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Foundever has hired 130 front-line advisers. They will provide a range of services for the National Trust, including customer service, holiday bookings, membership management, back-office processing and event ticketing.

“We are proud to open our new hub in Liverpool, a vibrant city with a unique history and rich cultural heritage which aligns to the legacy of the National Trust,” said Karl Brough, senior vice president and general manager of the UK and South Africa at Foundever.

“Liverpool was at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution and was home to the first intercity railway in the world. Similarly through our operations in the city we hope to deliver outstanding customer experiences in our role at the forefront of the AI revolution.

“Having this space at Horton House allows us to recruit local talent to deliver best-in-class service for the National Trust, enhancing the experience for their members and visitors.”

Horton House is an 11-storey Grade II-listed building in the city’s business district, just behind Liverpool Town Hall.

Overseeing around 500 sites, the National Trust is Europe’s largest conservation charity. It was founded in 1895 by Octavia Hill, Robert Hunter and Hardwicke Rawnsley pledged to preserve historic and natural places.
