A specialist training firm is to create a new 3,100 sq ft ‘green academy’ as part of £450,000 investment into its north Liverpool facility.
Gas, electrical and plumbing training venture HybridTec operates an 11,000 sq ft training centre in Aintree. Over the past 12 months the firm has offered training to 680 businesses and seen 150 apprentices successfully achieve their qualifications.
Its latest expansion will mean it will have the capacity to provide services to more than 1,000 businesses and be able to accommodate 80 people a day. HybridTec will provide courses in gas, electrical and plumbing, as well as renewable energy, to existing trades people and those who wish to start a new career.
Sophie Park, managing director, HybridTec, said: “It is testament to the skills and expertise of our team that we have been able to expand our offering at our Liverpool HQ, and with capacity to now grow further, it is certainly an exciting time to be involved with HybridTec.
“Opening our new green academy allows us to work with hundreds of more apprentices and businesses. With 25 comprehensive courses currently available to choose from, as a learning provider we will continue to pivot to fit the needs of professionals and career changers alike, providing course options to help meet any career goal.”
HybridTec will be hosting its next open day event today (April 26) between the hours of 4pm, and 7pm, with the open evening presenting an opportunity to meet tutors, take part in practical sessions, meet hiring employers and watch live demonstrations.
