51 Mill Lane opens its doors in the heart of West Derby Village

The latest addition to West Derby Village’s dining scene has officially opened.

Sharing its address with its name, 51 Mill Lane’s Bar, Kitchen & Garden is serving up a selection of small plates inspired by cuisines from across the globe alongside a range of cocktails, wines and pale ales, following a five-figure investment.

Managing Director at 51 Mill Lane Kate Dunn said: “After a number of weeks on site to transform the building into our new Bar, Kitchen & Garden concept, we are so pleased to open our doors to the public in the heart of West Derby Village. 51 Mill Lane’s ethos is to provide casual dining at its best to all of our diners and to create a social eating space that is perfect for sharing amongst family and friends.

“In line with our relaxed dining concept, 51 Mill Lane’s creative kitchen team has worked tirelessly ahead of our opening to create a mouth-watering range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes alongside creative pizzettes and artisan breads. Our sharing style menu is influenced by worldwide cuisines and comprises a wide selection of sharing dishes with a difference.”

Small plates include sticky Asian chicken thighs with pickled carrot & mooli, soft shell tempura crabs with aioli and Korean fried cauliflower with Dikon & Khol Rabi.

Desserts include spiced poached peach with mascarpone & ginger crumb, sticky toffee sundae with honeycomb & cream and cheese board (Blackstick Blue, Farmhouse Cheddar, Goats Cheese & Relish).

Kate added: “With the summer months fast approaching, 51 Mill Lane also houses an intimate garden area, which is all set to welcome al fresco lovers to soak up the sun with a delicious dish, cocktail or pale ale in hand.

“Our kitchen, bar and front of house team at 51 Mill Lane have clubbed together to create a neighbourhood restaurant and bar that we can certainly be proud of. We’re so excited to show North Liverpool what we have to offer!”

51 Mill Lane is open weekdays from 4pm – 11pm and Saturdays and Sundays 12pm – 11pm.
