Property consultancy CBRE doubles its office space in Liverpool’s commercial district and signs a 10-year lease. Tony McDonough reports
CBRE has committed to Liverpool for another 10 years and has doubled its office space in the city.
A global property consultancy, CBRE has been in Liverpool for more than a century. For the past few years it has been based at 4 St Paul’s Square in the heart of the commercial district.
This latest deal sees its move from the 6th to the 5th, taking a total of 5,000 sq ft of space. This is to accommodate further growth. In the past five years the team has expanded from 17 to 38.
Biggest area of growth in recent times has been with the public sector, providing strategic advice to education providers, such as Liverpool John Moores University, School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
It has also advised local authority clients including Liverpool City Council, Wirral Council, St Helens Council, Cheshire West & Chester Council, Sefton Council and Knowsley Council.
Neil Kirkham, head of office agency at CBRE Liverpool, said: “The workplace has changed significantly and our relocation has given the team an opportunity to deliver the highest quality fit out, while also promoting enhanced collaboration and wellbeing for our current and ever expanding Liverpool team.”
