Low cost airline easyJet has added two new European destinations to its roster of routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) for summer 2026.

Starting on March 31, 2026, easyJet will offer return flights to the Portuguese capital Lisbon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. From August 2 it will operate twice weekly flights to Paphos in Cyprus on Thursdays and Sundays.

Travellers can now discover the vibrant culture of Lisbon by exploring its historic neighbourhoods, sampling traditional Portuguese cuisine, and enjoying breathtaking views from the city’s iconic hilltops.

For those wanting to experience the charm of Paphos, they can visit its UNESCO-listed archaeological sites or relax on beautiful Mediterranean beaches and enjoy authentic Cypriot cuisine in the town’s lively harbour area.

In tandem, easyJet holidays has also launched holiday packages to each destination from Liverpool, including flights and hotel.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK country manager, said: “In our 30th year, we’re still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in the UK.

“With two new routes and package holidays to Lisbon and Paphos now available to book from Liverpool for next summer, we’re continuing to provide our customers in the North West with even more choice and connectivity at fantastic fares.”

Over the past 12 months, easyJet has continued to grow its network at LJLA, having launched eight new routes from Liverpool including Malta, Fuerteventura, Prague, Berlin, Marrakesh, City of Derry, Sharm el Sheikh, and Split.

Earlier this year, easyJet added an additional Airbus A320neo aircraft to its base at Liverpool to support the new routes, taking it’s total fleet size to eight.

Paul Winfield, LJLA’s aviation director, added: “We are delighted to welcome two additional easyJet routes from the North West’s faster, easier, friendlier airport.

“Prior to COVID, Liverpool John Lennon Airport was linked to the Portuguese capital with close to over half a million passengers using the route with strong demand for both inbound and outbound travel.

“Paphos is also a welcome addition to the easyJet network, complementing their existing service to Larnaca.

“This destination remains underserved from Liverpool with currently just three of the 24 weekly departing flights from North West airports, operating from here, so we anticipate strong potential to grow this route.”
