Engineering consultancy Clancy Consulting has moved its Liverpool city centre team from Old Hall Street to the Tempest on Tithebarn Street.

Its multi-disciplinary team will occupy 1,342 sq ft at the Tempest after the firm signed a 10-year lease. The 1970s building was transformed by Capital&Centric into a refurbished office complex.

Clancy in Liverpool is led by divisional director, Craig Yates, who has been with the company for more than 38 years.

Alongside the high-density city centre projects Clancy are known for across the UK, the team also specialises in industrial and advanced manufacturing projects, including heavy manufacturing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and structural survey work.

Craig said: “This move is the next chapter for Clancy in Liverpool. Joining the Tempest community reflects the way our team works today and marks our intent to reinvigorate our long-standing presence in the city.

“We look forward to welcoming new and existing clients to our new home and building on the strong legacy of work we’ve delivered from here over the years.”

The relocation means that Clancy is looking to recruit for several new roles to support ongoing growth. It also strengthens Clancy’s regional links across its network of eight offices.

It recently announced a new capital investment in a headquarters at Windmill Green in central Manchester, and new historic Grade C-listed offices in the heart of Glasgow. Clients include Co-op, RLB, Holcim, and BP.

Colliers advised Clancy on the Liverpool deal while CBRE acted for the landlord.
