Sports nutrition business Applied Nutrition has signed an exclusive three-year deal with supermarket chain Morrisons.

Under the agreement Morrisons formulate, produce and sell Knowsley-based Applied Nutrition’s branded meals and food products. This latest deal comes just weeks after the firm broke through the £100m revenue barrier for the first time.

It will initially involve the launch of 53 products across around 400 Morrisons supermarket stores in the UK from early January 2026, with a plan to launch more products later in the year.

The high-protein, product range will include balanced ready-meals, food-to-go sandwiches and salads, breads and cheeses. The range will include the UK’s first supermarket exclusive range of GLP-1 friendly ready meals.

Founder and chief executive of Applied Nutrition, Tom Ryder, said: “We’re excited to be partnering with Morrisons for our first out-licensing deal, a testament to the strength of our brand and the growing consumer demand for convenient, high-protein food choices.

“This is a great opportunity to reach new audiences and enable existing customers to deepen their engagement with our brand.

“We’ve enjoyed working with Morrisons, combining their expertise in food development with our deep customer understanding to create a unique product range designed to support people in achieving their wellness goals.”
