Liverpool building and fire safety firm says increased demand for sustainability will likely add to its strong pipeline for 2026.

In 2025, the Clubmoor firm has recorded successes on multiple fronts and seen its annual revenues soar 40% to £28m. And managing director Dean Rogers has told LBN he and his team have laid the foundations for the firm to continue to prosper in 2026.

“In recent weeks the annual index of the best-performing SMEs in the North West was published by Insider Media and it showed us rising from 136 to 18,” said Dean. “That is a fantastic achievement for the team.

“Everyone has worked incredibly hard this year and our achievements show that – I’m proud of the whole team. Financially, 2024/25 was an exceptional year and it has given us a solid base to build on for the next 12 months and beyond.”

Frank Rogers, which has been trading for half a century and built up a solid reputation both in Merseyside and across the UK, has secured places on a number of frameworks in 2025.

Two of the framework wins were with Liverpool city region affordable housing provider Torus. One is for passive fire remedial work and the other is a contractor framework offering work valued at up to £15m.

Other framework appointments included The Guinness Partnership’s national Building Remediation Framework, Merseyrail, Procure Partnerships, CHIC and the City of Liverpool College.

And the business continued to deliver projects on existing frameworks for Plus Dane, Riverside, Fusion 21, Peaks & Plains.

For the last few years Frank Rogers has considerably expanded the scope and geographical reach of its operations, adding multiple specialisms to its traditional construction expertise.

One of the most notable successes has been FR Fire Protection amid demand for higher standards of fire safety post-Grenfell. This division now makes a significant contribution to the company’s overall turnover.

That is set to continue in 2026. Its award-winning software developed for managing fire doors and fire stopping has bolstered its offer further. This will be rolled out across its private sector clients over the coming year.

In 2026, Dean believes another division, FR Green Solutions will also increase its overall contribution. He explained: “Sustainability is now the watchword of the building industry with lower emissions and thermal efficiency firmly top of the agenda.

“We expect to see a continued rise in sustainability-focused works across social housing with measures such as solar PV, energy-efficient windows and building fabric upgrades increasingly in demand. Our main client in this area is Peaks and Plains.”

Frank Rogers has also earned a strong reputation for delivering on sensitive heritage construction projects. Its work on the refurbishment of the Victoria Gallery & Museum in Liverpool earned it a Heritage Project of the Year award.

It was also the winner of the Outstanding Social Impact Award, recognising community engagement and social value delivery, at the Insider North West Awards and FR Fire Protection scooped the Innovation in Technology accolade in the Liverpool Chamber Awards.

Frank Rogers won an identical award in the National Building and Construction Awards. It is also shortlisted in the 2026 Insider Residential Property Awards recognising the social value created in its 50-year partnership with Riverside Housing.

To add to the list of achievements, the recently established FR Foundation has donated £137,590 to local charities, schools and community organisations. There was a £10,000 cash donation directly over its 12 Days of Giving campaign.

Summing up the year, Dean added: “I guess it’s normal for many businesses to sit down in December, take a deep breath and say ‘what a year that was’. For 2025 and Frank Rogers it really is true.

“What we have demonstrated during the year was how we have evolved over time into a real multi-disciplinary business. Many people have an outdated idea in their heads about what a building company does. But the complexity of the sector these days can be mind-boggling.

“The depth of knowledge, know-how, experience and talent in this firm now is astonishing. And that high value is evident from the executive team to the apprentices. I feel very confident about the prospects of Frank Rogers as we go into 2026.”
