Family-owned Wirral concrete supplier Dependable Concrete reports solid set of results with annual revenues rising 14% to £21.3m. Tony McDonough reports

Wirral concrete supplier Dependable Concrete is reporting rises in annual revenues and pre-tax profits and is upbeat about its prospects.
Owned by David Roberts, Dependable Concrete has its headquarters in Birkenhead and operates out of plants in Ellesmere Port, Wrexham, Runcorn, Deeside and Anglesey.
It specialises in the supply of ready mixed concrete, aggregate and interlocking concrete blocks. and supplies customers across Liverpool city region, Cheshire and into North Wales.
Financial results for the 12 months to July 31, 2025, have been posted on Companies House. They show revenues up 14% to £21.3m and pre-tax profits rising by 23% to £1.6m. Dividends for the year totalled £80,000.
As well as its facilities, Dependable Concrete has a large fleet of trucks which it uses to deliver to both commercial and domestic customers. It also offers a concrete testing service where our technician can be present on site.

Writing in the annual report, David Roberts said: “External factors include the economic environment. However, this appears to be strong with a large number of high value projects both in progress and planned for the future.
“This coupled with a large number of small accounts and prepaid sales gives a company a good mix.”
