Prefabricated building manufacturer and supplier Eldapoint says tough trading in its manufacturing division has been a key factor in its fall in revenues and continuing losses.

Two years ago Knowsley-based Eldapoint reported healthy pre-tax profits of £1.3m. However, each year of the past two years the business has reported pre-tax losses of £1.8m, the latest in the 12 months to March 31, 2025.

In its annual accounts just posted on Companies House, the firm also revealed a sharp fall in revenues from £15.5m to £12.4m.

Eldapoint Group comprises six companies, Its portfolio includes prefabricated buildings, container conversions, specialised enclosures, steel fabrication and waste containers across a wide range of sectors.

Hundreds of businesses utilise its products to house, transport and protect their people and assets. According to the accounts the business employed 107 people, identical to the previous year.

Writing in the annual report, Eldapoint finance director Paul Smith, said: “The downturn in revenues was mainly attributable to the manufacturing division, where customer realignment of stock levels post COVID-19 significantly impacted revenues. The depot demonstrated growth, achieving a 2% increase in revenue.

“This result reflects the decline in manufacturing revenues, as well as strategic investment in group level roles aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting future growth.”
