Everton FC’s Hill Dickinson Stadium will stage its first international match in the spring in a warm-up clash ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Tony McDonough reports

Scotland will play the Ivory Coast in the first international clash at Everton FC’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Both teams will feature in the FIFA World Cup in North America in the summer and this match, taking place at the Liverpool waterfront venue on Tuesday, March 31, will provide a valuable warm-up for both squads.
This fixture forms part of Pitch International’s ‘Road to 26’ international series and a big crowd is expected at the 52,769-capacity arena which replaced Goodison Park as Everton’s home from the start of the 2025/26 season.
Three-time Africa Cup of Nations winners, the Ivory Coast returns to the World Cup for the first time in 12 years after an impressive unbeaten qualifying campaign. Scotland secured their first final place in 28 years in a dramatic victory over Denmark.
Supporters can expect to see several familiar names in action, including Everton’s Nathan Patterson, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson, Napoli’s Scott McTominay, Aston Villa’s John McGinn and Evann Guessand and Manchester United’s Amad Diallo.
Alongside members of the Scotland Supporters’ Club, Everton Season Ticket Members, Premium Members and Forever Blue+ Members will receive priority access to tickets for the fixture ahead of general sale.
Tickets will be priced from £27 for Adults and £16 for Under-16s (plus booking fees). Premium Members will also have the opportunity to purchase a range of bars, restaurants and premium experiences via Seat Unique from £120, subject to availability.

“To stage the first-ever meeting between Scotland and Ivory Coast is a fitting moment, and we look forward to welcoming two World Cup-qualified nations and their supporters to Liverpool’s waterfront for what promises to be a special night of international football.”
