Five-a-side football specialist Powerleague is continuing its pivot towards one of the UK’s fastest-growing pastimes – padel.

Padel courts have been popping up across Liverpool city region and Powerleague says it will invest a further £850,000 to four new canopied courts to its existing facility in north Liverpool which are due to open in November.

This marks Powerleague’s 14th padel location nationwide, as the brand quickly establishes itself in the sport through strong investment in expanding and evolving its clubs and their offerings.

Sitting alongside its existing five and 7-a-side football pitches, the Kirkdale club, which currently welcomes 1,600 players each week, is set to become even more of a central hub for grassroots sports.
