Venture takeover by One Vision Housing

Liverpool-based landlord service Venture Housing Association has been taken over by One Vision Housing, retaining its portfolio of houses and transferring all staff.

Venture had been subject to “significant financial difficulties” over the last year and had breached lending agreements.

The Bootle-based One Vision has taken responsibility for Venture’s portfolio of 1,300 houses, bringing One Visions’s total number of homes owned and managed to more than 13,000 units.

One Vision said that it had worked with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) in order to guarantee that the amalgamation was “implemented as smoothly and effectively as possible”.

Chief executive of One Vision Roy Williams said:

“We’re extremely excited by this opportunity, giving One Vision a presence in two new local authorities, Liverpool and Wirral. We look forward to developing our relationships with our new tenants and stakeholders and making a significant contribution to the local communities.”

Assistant mayor and cabinet member for housing at Liverpool City Council, Councillor Ann O’Byrne, said:

“It’s extremely reassuring to know that the future is secured for Venture’s tenants. One Vision is a highly regarded landlord, so it’s great to see their prominence growing in Liverpool.”
