Mando Group partners with UNICEF Ireland to drive online donations
Mando Group has won a prestigious contract to work with UNICEF Ireland to engage supporters and potential donors with a new website.
Mando will be delivering a site that really brings to life UNICEF Ireland’s digital channels, delivering news to supporters and improving calls to action to recruit new donors.
Replacing the seven year-old current version, the new website will be built on Umbraco, an open-source, licence-free platform which will simplify the content publishing process for the UNICEF Ireland team.
A key factor for Mando during the project will be to ensure that the website is delivered in the most cost-effective way that still meets UNICEF Ireland’s aims. And also that it will be resilient to cope with high peaks of traffic when donation campaigns go live, like those associated with the recent earthquake in Nepal.
Mando will also be supporting UNICEF Ireland in other digital channels, building new e-communications templates to enable and encourage long-term loyalty with donors.
Once the website has gone live, Mando will be continuing the partnership with an ongoing support and maintenance contract. This will enable longer-term performance monitoring and website conversion rate optimisation.
Working in over 190 counties worldwide, UNICEF is committed to finding the best and most cost-effective ways to save children’s lives, providing health care, nutrition and education to help every child realise their full potential
UNICEF Ireland are one of a growing number of public and third sector clients that Mando have worked with. One of Mando Group’s first ever clients was the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, based in Liverpool. Mando has a focus on CSR, with its own Foundation (www.mandogroup.com/about/foundation/) supporting both local and international charities in health, education and community development.
Peter Power, Executive Director of UNICEF Ireland, said:
“We were looking for a partner who is professional, knowledgeable, creative and is passionate about our aims. We’ve found this in Mando Group and are looking forward to working with them.
“We’re constantly trying to improve the way we engage with our supporters so that we can continue to work in fragile areas of the world, like Nepal, South Sudan and Syria. Our new website will be a key part of that renewed strategy.”
Ian Finch, Managing Director of Mando Group, said:
“We’re really thrilled to be working with UNICEF Ireland. Not only will this be our second client win in Ireland in the last 12 months, but together with our Mando Foundation and other charities clients, supports causes close to our hearts.
“We’re very glad to be able to be an important part of UNICEF Ireland’s digital strategy to enable them to attract more supporters and donors and inevitably help them to deliver on achieving their charitable aims worldwide.”
