Bebington Glazing welcomes duo of apprentices on board
Bebington Glazing has welcomed two new apprentices as part of on-going company expansion.
Tomas Gray, 21, has joined the team as an Administrator alongside Josh Aston-Bowen, 17, who has undertaken the role of a Glazier.
The Wirral-based firm introduced an apprenticeship scheme in 2014 and has since seen its first two trainee members of staff join the team in permanent roles.
Managing director of Bebington Glazing Kay Finlay said:
“Here at Bebington Glazing, we think it is crucial to provide high-quality training programs for young people. This allows the next generation of employees to learn their trade under skilled professionals, ensuring that they each finish their apprenticeships with a wide set of applicable work-based skills.
“Originally, Tomas joined us to work on-site but we found him to be much more suited to sales due to his natural charisma and great people skills. For this reason, we created an entirely new role for him to support our sales team. As soon as Josh joined our team of glaziers, we knew he was an excellent fit due to his drive and determination and already impressive skillset. It is great to welcome a pair of highly motivated young individuals.”
Located in New Ferry, Bebington Glazing has become renowned across the North West for specialising in bespoke glass installation and repairs on both residential and commercial properties. In addition to glazing services, the independent firm also fits shop fronts, safety glass, lead lights, glass balconies and balustrades.
Tomas and Josh follow in the footsteps of Matt and Alisha, who both undertook apprenticeships at Bebington Glazing last year. After successfully completing the training programs, Matt has undertaken a position in the sales team whist Alisha has since been appointed an administration role to oversee the day-to-day support of office management.
Kay added:
“Matt and Alisha are great examples to both of our new apprentices of how undertaking such roles can help them to climb the career ladder.
“From a business perspective, it is great to be in a position to take on an extra two pairs of hands to deal with increasingly high demand. We are certainly looking forward to the boys’ long-term career with us after they have completed their apprenticeships.”
