Pro-Remain Liverpool academic Professor Michael Dougan has accused those in favour of Brexit as being in a “state of total denial” in a new video.

Professor Dougan is a specialist in EU constitutional law at the University of Liverpool.

He was an outspoken critic of the ‘Out’ campaign during the EU Referendum last year. In a previous video he accused the Out campaign team of “dishonesty on an industrial scale”.

Professor Dougan has more than 20 years of professional experience working on the EU and has previously acted as an advisor to the Cabinet office.

In his latest video he suggests that those who want to see the UK leave the EU are now facing “the accountability of reality”.
