Construction supply specialist to relocate to bigger Mersey premises

A specialist construction supplier is to relocate its business from its current home in Bootle to bigger premises in Knowsley.
Formwork Direct International has secured undisclosed funding from Liverpool-based loan and equity provider, MSIF, to support the move which will accommodate its continued growth and increased demand.
The company specialises in supplying new and used formwork systems for sale and hire to construction supply chains around the world. Its services also include falsework systems, propping and shoring, concrete accessories, safety systems, concrete chemicals, scaffolding and bespoke systems.
Formwork Direct also supplies a wide range of contractors, predominantly in the UK, but also internationally, further providing their systems with the added benefit of in-house engineering and design; creating a unique ‘one-stop’ service to clients.
Established in April 2010, the business has grown its base and services year-on-year, enabling the business to invest heavily in hireable assets which have now become the company’s largest and most profitable branch of business.
Directors, Carl Kidman, and Steve Dempsey have extensive experience throughout the contracting sector. Operations director John Owens has also recently joined the team. creates a strong and balanced management team.
By working with Jim Moore, MSIF investment manager, Formwork Direct was able to secure the funding needed to complete their move to the larger site on Hornhouse Lane in Knowsley Industrial Park. The new site provides the business with 2.6 acres of land.
