Engineering firm reports record revenues
Structural steelwork specialist Walker Engineering reports record annual revenues of almost £4m and an 81% increase in profits. Tony McDonough reports
Walker Engineering is reporting record annual revenues of £3.9m for 2021 – up from £2.2m in 2020.
Pre-tax profits at the Skelmersdale family-led firm also soared 81% to just over £403,000. Walker delivers mechanical and electrical fabrication, installation and maintenance across the UK.
Run by husband and wife team Andy (managing director) and Sarah Walker (director of operations), the business has seen staff numbers grow by 36% to 26. It has worked on a number of high-profile jobs throughout the last financial year.
These include the installation of a blend tank facility in Widnes, worth £600,000, and the structural steelwork supply for a property site in Formby, worth £240,000. It works across a range of sectors including chemical and food industries.
Walker has also been involved in four large structural steelwork projects in the North West, showcasing its expertise in fabrication and pipework.
