On Saturday, 5th September, 10 teams from all over Liverpool came to battle it out at the Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice It’s a Knockout! contest. Only one team would be crowned though and the winners spot went to ‘The Village People’ -a team made from members of Merseyside Police and their friends and family.

A fantastic day was had by all and the event raised more than £10,000 for the children’s charity. Teams came from far and wide, with many leading Liverpool businesses taking part, including Griffiths and Armour, Local Solutions, Lloyds TSB 500 Club, Santander as well as a team of nurses from Zoë’s Place and members of the community. The weather was on side and it was a real family affair.

Zoë’s Place corporate and events fundraiser Samantha Lee says:

“All the teams had so much fun and I am sure screams and laughter could be heard from all around. It is great when the community gets on board with an event like this. We will definitely be running another one next year!

“Thank you so much to everyone who took part and sponsored the teams.”
