Liverpool brand and communications agency Agent is reporting annual revenues of £2m.
Agent also said its profits reached record levels, rising by 31%, although it did not offer an actual figure. The business also said it was expanding by opening up a new office in Albert Square in Manchester.
Formed in 2006, the agency now also runs a sister social enterprise, Agent Academy CIC, offering training for people in the creative and digital industry. It has been awarded £150,000 by the Department for Education and innovation foundation Nesta for a new e-learning platform called Leap.
The company has also significantly increased its headcount, which will become 35 in the coming weeks, bringing specialities such as 3D motion design, UX design and testing and digital marketing expertise in-house.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Agent founder Paul Corcoran decided not to furlough any members of the team or enforce pay cuts. He said: “I’m exceptionally proud that we have been able to ring in our 15th year in such a positive way.
“Having experienced so many challenges over the past 12 months, this year feels like a real turning point for the agency. If we can overcome that, I truly believe we can achieve anything.
“As we move forward our priority is to make sure we’re able to have a positive impact on our people and our place, and to reflect this in our work. We’re proud of our North West roots and look forward to continuing to expand our presence here.”
