Agents complete a quartet of lettings at Knowsley retail development
Children’s sensory and soft play centre, Crafty Mama’s is taking a 3.222 sq ft unit at Cavendish Walk retail parade in Huyton
Agents at Avison Young have secured a fourth letting for a retail development in Knowsley.
Children’s sensory and soft play centre, Crafty Mama’s is taking a 3.222 sq ft unit at Cavendish Walk retail parade in Huyton, joining other recent tenants Holland & Barrett, The Fragrance Shop and Knowsley Council’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau.
Fit out on the Crafty Mama’s unit is now complete and it opened its doors to families this week and Avison Young’s asset manager for Cavendish Walk, Sholom Cohen, said the recent lettings had driven a rise in footfall.
He added: “Our high streets continue to face challenging times, however lettings to businesses such as Crafty Mama’s show that this is not the end for the high street, rather, that places are being redefined.
“Towns and city centres that have a greater mix of uses, away from the traditional retail core, are enjoying more success by attracting a broader range of visitors and encouraging dwell time. For our high streets to have a future, they will require more diversification and it is positive for Huyton that we are seeing that evolution here.”
Avison Young is a Canada-based global commercial property firm with a Liverpool office at No 4 St Paul’s Square in the heart of the city’s commercial district.
