An Alpine Village will be the major attraction at Liverpool ONE in the run-up to Christmas.

Located in Chavasse Park, the Liverpool Alpine Village will officially open on the evening of Friday, November 11.

A new 25-metre Christmas tree will sit at the centre of the attraction on Chavasse Park. This will stands 18 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest artificial trees in the UK.

It will replace the long established “love heart” Christmas tree on Paradise Street. This will now be the location for a series of eight-metre neon trees.

Liverpool Alpine Village, which is presented by Christmas pop-up Bar Hütte, offers a wide range of activities. They include curling, ‘prosecco pong’ and shuffleboard, to live music, market stalls and even wreath-making classes. Karaoke will also be returning.

Callum Winsper, operations manager at Liverpool Alpine Village, said: “Bar Hütte and its karaoke booths have become a Christmas staple at Liverpool ONE over the last six years. Groups of friends, colleagues and couples return year after year.

“So, it’s incredibly exciting to be moving from our usual space on Paradise Street to a brand new and bigger space on Chavasse Park. Liverpool Alpine Village will have something for everyone.

“It’s guaranteed to be a big hit with those looking to get in the festive spirit and enjoy the countdown to Christmas and something a little different.”

The ‘love heart’ Christmas tree has stood in Liverpool ONE for several years – but no more

“Our much-recognised heart tree at Paradise Street had become synonymous with Christmas at Liverpool ONE and was a colourful, much-loved part of our decorations.

“But, Liverpool ONE is always changing and evolving and prides itself on always bringing something new for all of our visitors. So to be installing a new tree as a central point of the Liverpool Alpine Village at Chavasse Park is very exciting for us.”

As part of Liverpool ONE’s continued support of the local community a special ONE More Campaign will also be launched this Christmas. This will encourage visitors to donate “one more” gift or donate “one more” meal to support families across the Liverpool city region.
