Liverpool agency Boxed Off goes Gung Ho!

Liverpool PR agency Boxed Off is going Gung-Ho! as it celebrates its second birthday.

Gung-Ho! is putting on three 5k races across the UK featuring a number of obstacles, including Europe’s largest inflatable slide. Boxed Off will promote each of the events through a developed media relations campaign.

It’s the idea of CBeebies presenter Alex Winters and set to kick off later this month at Aintree racecourse, with further events in Newcastle and Windsor.

Richard Clein, founding director of Liverpool-based Boxed Off said:

“Getting Gung-Ho! on board shows how Boxed Off is itself continuing to bounce along and win new clients.

“It’s been another year of success, working with Heritage Great Britain PLC on the launch of the Shaun the Sheep Experience at Land’s End; and a special carriage naming ceremony for Katherine Jenkins OBE at Snowdon Mountain Railway, which both attracted national coverage.”

In May, Boxed Off also organised the ‘Holker Homecoming’ for Barrow AFC, following the football club’s promotion to the Vanarama National League.

BBC’s North West Tonight and Granada Reports were both on hand to cover the event live. In the run-up to the new season Jamie Reid, director, Barrow AFC said:

“It’s no mean feat to get both major regional broadcasters up to Barrow and it was a fabulous night to end a fabulous season. We are continuing to work with Boxed Off as the club targets a return to the football league.”

Richard Clein continues:

“Year on year the business has grown by 30% with a healthy pipeline of new business. The agency is currently recruiting as it embarks on the next phase of growth.”

Boxed Off can also count global logistics company Suttons, independent financial adviser Acumen Financial Partnership and charity Liverpool Lighthouse amongst its clients.

The agency has also launched a new website www.boxedoffcomms.co.uk developed by Ident Creative. You can also follow on Facebook and Twitter @boxedoffcomms.
