In such testing times good leadership has never been more important and a seminar organised by the IoD in Liverpool will take its inspiration from Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp.

Taking place online on Tuesday, November 10, from 9am to 10.30am, the event will feature a presentation from Gemma Ellison, director of culture and engagement at Liverpool-based law firm Jackson Lees Group.

Focusing on delivering ‘high performance in testing times’ Gemma has devised a seminar that she has called What would Jurgen do? In reference to the Liverpool manager who has inspired his players to win multiple honours, including the Premier League and the Champions League.

Business Leaders now more than ever are judged on the culture they create to deliver results. In these testing times this event is designed to help you assess yourself and your organisation’s delivery in this area.

However knowing that and actually delivering it across an organisation is very different.  The event will explore six stages of leadership that will give you the tools to gauge your effectiveness.  You can then create, develop or reshape and demonstrate the model for a happier, more efficient, productive and profitable workplace.

David Wafer, chair of Iod Liverpool and managing director of award-winning Liverpool recruitment firm, McIver Scott Recruitment, said: “The leadership model is built with a focus on authenticity and empathy.

“In our city and beyond who better to model this on than Jurgen Klopp. What would Jurgen? do is a question posed by Gemma and the foundation of her leadership model that she created.

“Gemma will talk us through the six stages of leadership as embodied by Klopp including relentless inclusivity and the power of developing a team of leaders.”

This seminar is free to both members and non-members. Click here to book your place.
