Agents at CBRE have secured two lettings totalling almost 91,000 sq ft at a Liverpool city region business park. Tony McDonough reports
An insulated panel manufacturer and plumbing trade supplier City Plumbing have both taken space totalling almost 91,000 sq ft at Huyton Business Park.
Agents in the industrial team at CBRE secured the lettings at a newly refurbished scheme called Interchange, within the business park. They were acting on behalf of owner Peloton Real Estate which has just completed the £2.7m revamp of the accommodation.
Peloton acquired the site, previously occupied by Concord filing, in 2018 and undertook a significant revamp and rebrand to create an 84,439 sq ft warehouse with offices at ground and first floor as well as two prominent semi-detached trade counter units, each extending to around 6,500 sq ft.
Rainhill-based insulated panel manufacturer, Hemsec Manufacturing has agreed terms on the 84,439 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease. One of the 6,500 sq ft units has been let to City Plumbing, also on a 10 year lease.
Darren Hill, director at CBRE Liverpool, said: “Both lettings were secured virtually upon practical completion of the refurbishment works. This is testament to both the quality of the works as well as the continued strength of the industrial sector where stock levels are severely constrained and demand remains strong.”

CBRE advised Peloton Real Estate together with joint agent B8 Real Estate. Hemsec Manufacturing was advised by Eddisons and City Plumbing was advised by Mason Owen.
Jonathan Nuttall, managing director of Peloton, added: “Our investment in this prime positioned industrial scheme has been integral in attracting occupiers looking for high quality logistics space combined with the estate’s excellent road communications and connectivity to the motorway network.”
