Krol Corlett Construction is celebrating a trio of new contract wins that are expected to add £15m to the Knowsley firm’s annual turnover.

These new deals span different facets of the company’s specialisms, with heritage conservation, planned and reactive maintenance and new-build. The project wins are:

  • A place on the reactive and planned maintenance framework for Lancashire County Council.
  • Two new-build projects at the Twelve Quays campus for Wirral Metropolitan College.
  • Phase two of the Accrington Town Square regeneration programme for Hyndburn Council.

“Our focus on value and performance has always appealed to our public sector clients, but it’s particularly pleasing to announce wins that cover a range of our specialisms,” said Krol managing director Daniel Tebay.

“A key strength is our ability to put proper organisational resources behind every job, regardless of size. Not everyone can do that and it’ll be a key feature of our performance on the Lancashire framework, for sure.”

Krol has been appointed on the four lots for which it bid on Lancashire County Council’s maintenance framework.

It has also been tasked with construction of a new single-storey motor vehicle workshop and a two-storey teaching block for Wirral Met College at its campus on the Birkenhead waterfront.

The combined contract is worth just over £4m. Professionals supporting this project include 10 Architect, MDA Wirral (structural engineers), SDA (quantity surveyors) and Futureserv (building services).

The Accrington Town Square project is set to transform the centre of the east Lancashire town, with a refurbished and updated market hall, enhanced public realm and the refurbishment of Burton Chambers, opposite the town hall.

Krol Corlett has been tasked with a range of refurbishment, installation and fit-out works across both buildings, with work now underway and set for completion in spring 2026.  The contract value is £10.5m.

Krol Corlett has offices in Knowsley, Preston and Manchester. The firm specialises in healthcare, education, heritage, science and technology and residential projects.
