Epic Apart Hotel, Liverpool’s independent hospitality company, will invest £800,000 to transform a dilapidated building at 75 Duke Street into it’s new third location.
The project will increase the company’s occupancy in Liverpool city centre from 18 to 35 studios and apartments.
75 Duke Street had previously been left abandoned and in a derelict state since 1984, but work is currently underway to develop the space to create 17 new apartments in the RopeWalks area of Liverpool.
Each apartment will have an individual design and furnishings, with the two mezzanine studios, one featuring a showcase courtyard garden. However, Duke Street will also feature ePods: smaller rooms of 15 square metres, which are aimed at budget corporate travellers and weekend visitors.
Epic already has properties located on Campbell Street and Seel Street. The Duke Street Apart Hotel is expected to open in February and create 15 new jobs.
