Daredevils throughout the North West are being called upon to take part in a fantastic opportunity to abseil down one of Liverpool’s highest buildings, the Anglican Cathedral, in aid of one the region’s oldest charities Nugent Care.
Taking place on Saturday 1st August from 12pm, you’ll not only take in some of Liverpool’s best views at 331ft tall but also raise much needed funds for Nugent Care’s Creative Vision project, which supports people affected by sight loss.
Fundraising Manager Marie Reynolds said:
“This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to conquer their fear of heights as well as do their bit for charity! The Creative Vision project enables people to express themselves and their interests through various art mediums and develop new skills.
“Projects like this really do make a difference to the lives of those impaired by loss of sight and it relies on donations to continue in the great work it does.”
Participants are required to submit a £25 registration fee (which includes rental and preparation of the venue, qualified and professional instructor and equipment for the event) and asked to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship, all of which goes to the charity.
