The Liverpool-based digital marketing agency has successfully re-organised the structure of the Scriven’s Opticians and Hearing divisions to ensure both brands are housed under one site, Scrivens.com.
Under the new site structure and expanding from its original two site design, the migration came into effect in August with Hit Search supporting the move from two individual sites onto one new platform.
The agency is currently responsible for implementing the brand’s SEO and Content Marketing strategy. In order to keep up with the change of pace in marketing technology, Scriven’s utilised Hit Search’s extensive digital marketing skillset to provide a seamless and efficient website migration.
Accountable for all traffic directed to the site, the Liverpool agency were on hand to ensure the opticians and eye care firm didn’t lose any organic traffic, rankings or conversions whilst the move took place, as well as in the weeks following the migration.
The Scrivens site relaunched with a clean homepage, featuring all product options and services at a glance. With a wealth of content from product pages to large amounts of information, the site provides a comprehensive user experience for new or returning customers, whilst also strengthening the site visibility and loading time.
Digital Strategy Director, Miriam Sauter said: “At Hit Search, our team of technical SEO strategists are highly trained at supporting site migrations including site mergers, HTTPS and domain migrations. Due to their high complexity, site migrations require a deep understanding of various technical SEO and development aspects including site architectural changes, redirect mapping, internal linking, and SERP indexation optimisation. Aside from having a proficient technical know-how, we were fortunate to work with a very knowledgeable team at Scrivens with whom we effectively communicated any changes on a frequent basis pre-, during and post-migration, resulting in no downtime and hence, no negative impact on commercial performance.”
