Communications and marketing consultancy Influential will be adopting the Liverpool children’s support charity, KIND as its charity of the year for 2014 and 2015.
The Liverpool-headquartered agency will support and work alongside the charity, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary next year, to help raise awareness of the work KIND does to support disadvantaged children and their families.
KIND assists around 15,000 children each year through partnerships with local schools, education organisations and other agencies. Located off Hope Street, the charity offers learning and skill development opportunities for children from a range of different backgrounds. KIND’s headquarters also include an inner city garden resource, which the charity transformed from a derelict urban site into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly, multi-purpose education and community resource.
The charity’s activities include a Christmas appeal that annually delivers hampers to thousands of families during the festive season. Founder and Chief Executive of KIND, Stephen Yip, MBE DL said:
“I would like to thank Influential for choosing to support our charity. Liverpool has grown rapidly since we started almost 40 years ago but the number of young people who are struggling has also increased.
“We continue to support the families of Liverpool and make a difference to the quality of their lives. We rely solely on the kindness and goodwill of the people of Liverpool whether it is through donations or volunteering. Any support during this busy period is most appreciated.”
Sara Wilde McKeown, Managing Director at Influential, said:
“We are looking forward to working closely with KIND in the upcoming year. The work Stephen and his team has done over the past four decades has been incredible and significantly changed the lives of tens of thousands of children.
“To support KIND in its 40th anniversary year is a great honour and I hope that we can help create the backbone for another successful 40 years.”
Jon Brown, PR Director at Influential, added:
“KIND was the immediate choice for our charity campaign. We want to help KIND grow through the channels and contacts we have created in Liverpool and provide a platform for further growth over the next 40 years. We also look forward to supporting their brilliant Christmas Appeal later this year.”
