Liverpool Business News and Liverpool BID Company have come together to form a dynamic new communications partnership.

Working across three BIDs (Business Improvement Districts) Liverpool BID Company represents the interests of more than 860 levy-paying businesses across the city centre.

Its Retail & Leisure BID represents shops, bars, restaurants and leisure businesses across the main retail district of Liverpool city centre. Its Culture & Commerce BID covers the commercial district and the waterfront.

And, late last year, Liverpool BID Company launched the UK’s first Accommodation BID, representing hoteliers and accommodation providers in the city centre.

Liverpool Business News (LBN) is the only dedicated business news platform in Liverpool city region. It offers a voice and platform to the thousands of businesses across the city region’s six boroughs.

LBN’s new partnership with Liverpool BID Company is the latest in a series of tie-ups with the key business member organisations. They include Mersey Maritime, The Women’s Organisation and Knowsley Chamber.

Jennie Lewis, founder and managing director of LBN, said: “As the region’s only dedicated business news platform it’s important we have a line of communication to all businesses, of every size, and across a range of sectors.

“We see the BID as being a voice for the business community and we want to help extend that voice and reach. We believe news should be free, unbiased and accessible to all.”

For more than 10 years, eight years as LBN, the site has established itself as an essential platform for the city region’s business community. It has adapted to, and thrived in, a fast-changing media landscape.

Jennie added: “We aim, every day, to offer an accurate snapshot of the city region economy and its business community – from the largest corporates to the SMEs that are the lifeblood of that economy. Our new partnership with the Liverpool BID Company will only strengthen that offer.”

Marketing manager for the Liverpool BID Company, Chloe Gaughan, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Liverpool Business News this year.

“This partnership allows our businesses, including those smaller businesses without a marketing or comms team, to share and celebrate integral news and updates with the strong business community of Liverpool.

“Building community is what Liverpool BID Company is all about. Bringing businesses in the heart of Liverpool together – providing support and enabling them to have the best possible environment to grow.

“Working with LBN enables us to champion our businesses and offer them a platform for their news to promote, inform and bring together the dynamic business community.”
