Founded in 1884 with offices in Liverpool and Southport, Brown Turner Ross has relocated its city centre headquarters and grown its team by 25%. Tony McDonough reports
Liverpool law firm Brown Turner Ross (BTR) has moved in to a new city centre headquarters after growing its headcount by 25%.
BTR has moved its team to 100 Old Hall Street. It has also taken on six new specialists including Natalie Tomlinson (head of housing disrepair), Claire Hamilton (private client solicitor) and Vicki Coulthurst (property solicitor) who take up senior positions.
Founded in 1884, the firm which has offices in Southport and Liverpool, has also undertaken a rebranding and says that revenues are currently ahead of this time last year with the family law team seeing an uplight of 10%.
Sam Bushell, managing director at BTR, said: “I would like to applaud our people who, despite working from home, have shown a true dedication in maintaining client care with real knowledge and skill to achieve our clients aim. As we embark on exit from lockdown, we are in a strong position to grow further.
“These figures, along with our new appointments and rebrand rubber-stamp our reputation for providing a quality service for our clients in the Liverpool city region and beyond. We are looking forward to the future as we look to build on a positive 2020 / 21.”
As well as new appointments, the company has also celebrated in the successes and progression of its staff members. Rebecca Chase joined the business as a paralegal in the private client team in March 2020. She later accepted a training contract to become a trainee solicitor in November.
