Liverpool venture ThinK Wine Group has scooped a major award in Las Vegas – just a year after launching in the US.

Katherine Jones started ThinK in Liverpool in 2019. Its Prosecco and Pinot Grigio Sparkling Rose have proved popular with wine connoisseurs in California, New York, New Jersey and Florida.

Now the firm has won Silver Awards for both drinks at the Las Vegas Global Wine Awards. They saw a world class judging panel comprising master sommeliers, winemakers and industry journalists and trade Experts’ blind taste the hundreds of wines from around the world.

The judging process was a lengthy one that lasted a month, due to the volume of entries and the qualifying process. A diverse and very specific range of wine categories were created to ensure that the entries were judged correctly and accurately for the consumers too.

Katherine said: “I was over the moon to hear that both my Prosecco & Pinot Grigio Rose Brut won Silver Awards at such a prestigious and industry-recognised event in the entertainment capital of the world.

“America was a tough market to break into but we have steadily built up an amazing customer base already in key states. We are now part of Thirstie, which is one of the biggest alcohol delivery sites out there.’

ThinK Wine Group’s products are now stocked in a range of venues in addition to some high profile events locally, nationally and now internationally too. The business has achieved seven industry recognised awards within three years.
