Liverpool marketing agency Matchstick Creative wins contract with Hemsec, a local manufacturer of insulated panels for the construction sector. Tony McDonough reports
Matchstick Creative has secured a new branding and marketing contract with insulated panel manufacturer Hemsec.
With a new 84,000 sq manufacturing facility opened in Huyton in 2022, Hemsec is growing thanks to demand in the factory-built homes market. Its panels are designed to keep cold air out or keep it in.
Matchstick Creative was co-founded and is run by chief executive Ruth Hartnoll. In the summer she was named deputy chair of the new Liverpool City Region Business and Enterprise Board.
It aims to work with businesses and organisations that “strive to create greater social and environmental impact”. Its work with Hemsec will initially focus on a brand identity project for the firm.
Ruth said: “We couldn’t be prouder to be partnering with Hemsec. They are committed to having a positive impact on the world and their value-first approach to business is inspiring.
“Redefining their identity and helping to transform the business as they begin their purpose-led journey is a challenge we can’t wait to get stuck into.”
Founded in Liverpool in 1928, Hemsec is one of the UK’s leading composite insulated panel manufacturers. It opened up the new site in Huyton after its Rainhill facility hit maximum capacity.
Cyril Hemmings set up the firm to supply insulated cabinets to an ice-cream and refrigeration salesman Bill Walker. Today, it supplies its panels to a variety of sectors.
